Two egg cups in need of a bit of mending

A souvenir that lost its wings but found new life.

A beautiful bowl, handcrafted in Italy (not bought there). It was not fully broken before the repair started, but had a few cracks. While repairing it, it kept cracking and breaking – once I accidentally stepped in it while it was hardening…

My first project. This plate was kind of new still and for once, I did not want to throw it out. Fortunately, my wife and I had a workshop in the kintsugi technique in Tokoy in 2023 and decided to repair the plate.
